Stamp Information : The National Council of YMCAs of india is part of the international youth movement called the Young Men's Christian Association. Start in London in 1884, by Sir George Williams, the YMCA is now spread over 96 countries. The National Council of YMCAs in India was formed in February, 1891 and functions as the coordinating body of over 350 YMCAs spread out in most major cities, towns and villages.
Philatelic Stamp Description : The stamp which depicts the logo of the Y.M.C.A., has been disigned by Indian Security Press, Nasik. The first Day Cover depicting the various aspects of the YMCA, has been designed by Narinder Singh. The Cancelation has been designed by Nenu Gupta.
